ACS International Schools - STEAM 2024
An educational STEAM extravaganza at Thorpe Park for 10,000 students
STEAM 2024 was another incredible partnerships project from ACS International Schools, this time 10,000 school students were invited to Thorpe Park along with 55 suppliers in STEAM industries, with the aim to inspire and interest the students about available careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Maths. The event was gamified, with students receiving a stamp each time they completed an activity, with five stamps getting you on a rollercoaster. Workshops and activities came from a huge range of organisations, including the team behind the UKs fastest land speed car, Royal Air Force, Surrey Police, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, makeup artists from Cats the musical, Titan the Robot, a petting zoo, a living library, Barclays, Microsoft, and STOMP! the musical.
It’s the second time Thorpe Park closed for ACS Partnerships, and the levels of excitement from the students did not let up all day. The event was dreamt up by Partnerships Director, Graeme Lawrie MBE, and delivered with aplomb by Partnerships Event Manager Jen Baguley.
