A UCL East Community Engagement project

Diverse Voices is a collaboration between Dr Shoba Poduval, photographer Kois Miah and community members in east London with lived experience of engaging with health and social care research. People from global majority backgrounds are historically under-represented in health research, but an understanding of why these inequalities occur is limited, Diverse Voices sought to explore these issues through visual storytelling, allowing participants to tell their own stories, through creative expression and skill sharing.

Diverse Voices was funded by the UCL East Community Engagement Seed Fund, managed by UCL’s Community Engagement Manger Briony Fleming.
