Empowering Design Practices: Open University & Glass-House Community Led Design

As part of the continuing collaboration with The Empowering Design Practices research team, this film was created during a workshop the EDP research team from Open University and Glass-House Community Led Design delivered in Birmingham in April 2019. It is an exploration of what community engagement means from the perspectives of the participants, and documents different aspects of the workshop and its impact. The film brings together perspectives from a variety of people: community members, support and development officers, architects and funders.

Empowering Design Practices is a five year research project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council. The research team is a multi-disciplinary collaboration of academics, community partners and professionals, led by the strategic partnership of tThe Design Group at The Open University and Glass-House Community Led Design.
