London Means Business III

Thursday 6th November saw the third Mayor's Business Dinner take place at East Wintergarden, Canary Wharf. An annual event which brings together the capitals leading businesses from across all sectors in support of The Legacy List, the charity of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

As well as poetry readings from Aisling Fahey, Young Poet Laureate for London, and runners up Rachel Long and Laurie Bolger, East London Dance performed, and there was live art from Jason Wilsher-Mills, with keynote speeches from London Mayor Boris Johnson and V&A Chairman, Sir Paul Ruddock.

I was commissioned once again to create a film showcasing all of the work The Legacy List has been undertaking over the last year to ensure an arts and culture legacy in the boroughs surrounding the Park. The film features interviews with The Yard Theatre Director Jay Millar, CEO of iCity/Here East Gavin Poole, participants of Legacy Youth Radio (Reprezent), Building Brighter Futures and Aisling Fahey, the 2014 Young Poet Laureate, plus footage from the Floating Cinema, East London Painting Prize, Discover Poetry Legacy Challenge, elle, and the SPACE Summer School initiative.
