Celebrating 20 years of Bow Arts

The Bow Arts 20 year logo is displayed over a paint splattered studio floor

Since January 2015, I have been working with Bow Arts to create a short film to celebrate their 20th year of operation. Commissioned to highlight their offer of affordable studios for artists, bringing artists into schools, and running a successful gallery and support network for artists across London, the film is jam packed with events throughout the year and interviews with all sorts of people, from Director of Tate, Nick Serota, to artist Vivien Zhang.

My favourite filming session was probably at the build of the new Rum Factory studio complex, in the old News of the World offices in Shadwell. I got to don hard hat and steel toe boots, and muse on the meaning of notes left on whiteboards.

It was a pleasure to get to know such a passionate and hard working team, who manage to make a real impact on the communities they work in. Happy birthday Bow Arts!
