Empowering Design Practices Live
Open University & Glass-House Community Led Design
As part of the continuing collaboration with The Empowering Design Practices research team, February 2020 saw a gathering of partners and community collaborators, colleagues, funders and friends to celebrate five years of research exploring community leadership in design within the context of historic places of worship. Taking place at St Paul’s in Hammersmith, London, the day was about sharing resources, celebrating achievements and looking forward to how historic places of worship can provide welcoming spaces for the whole community.
Empowering Design Practices is a five year research project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council. The research team is a multi-disciplinary collaboration of academics, community partners and professionals, led by the strategic partnership of tThe Design Group at The Open University and Glass-House Community Led Design.
