Köbberling & Kaltwasser: GOAL!

A finish line for the Greenway

In July 2011 Berlin Artist duo Köbberling & Kaltwasser built GOAL!, a finishing post on the Greenway by the View Tube for cyclists and pedestrians reaching the London 2012 Olympic Park.

The piece celebrates everyday people reaching their goal in a style similar to that of the Olympics. They constructed the archway made from discarded and recycled materials found around East London.

GOAL! was commissioned for the View Tube Art Programme 2011, as part of 'Bicycle Wheel', curated by Alice Sharp from Invisible Dust. GOAL! was part of Create 11 Festival.
