A community garden at View Tube

View Tube Grow runs as part of View Tube’s year round programme, artist Lisa Cheung has created Summer Palace, raised allotment bed sculptures making up a sustainable community garden, managed by volunteers and providing food for the View Tube’s Container Cafe and themselves.

The project was supported by Marks & Spencer, Groundwork London, the London Wildlife Trust, the Olympic Delivery Authority, London Thames Gateway Development Corporation, Thames Water and Bike Works.

View Tube is a community and education venue with views over the London 2012 Olympic Park. It runs a thriving arts programme, cafe and bike hire and is located on the Greenway next to the London 2012 Olympic Park.

Summer Palace was part of View Tube Grow and the View Tube Art programme.
