Until you became me

Karen Le Roy Harris and Miriam Sedacca

Until you became me is a site-specific exhibition from Karen Le Roy Harris and Miriam Sedacca, exploring how water connects us to each other and our environments. The exhibition took place at the historic grade 1 listed House Mill in Newham, the worlds largest surviving tidal mill.

Four artists respond directly to the historic tidal mill: 'String Figures' by Bettina Fung, guest artist Maria Ibarretxe travelling from Bilbao, 'Chuteman' by Karen Le Roy Harris, 'Reservoir' by Miriam Sedacca and with Karen and Miriam performing collaboratively ‘Let me carry you’ and 'The stretch'.

Performance film

I was commissioned to make a project film (below) encapsulating the exhibition, and also document a performance evening (above) to create a performance film.
